If the chip is smaller than an Australian $1 coin and sits outside the driver's critical vision area, it can usually be repaired in 15 to 30 minutes. Anything longer than that, already spreading, or directly in your eyeline needs a full replacement under Australian standards. Side, rear and quarter glass cannot be repaired at all and is always replaced.

A chip repair takes 15 to 30 minutes and you can drive away straight after. A windscreen replacement takes about an hour on site, then a further 30 to 60 minutes for the adhesive to cure before driving. Side and rear windows are usually finished within the hour. ADAS calibration adds extra time on vehicles that need it.

Yes, if your vehicle has front-facing cameras or sensors behind the windscreen, which is common on cars built from around 2015 onward. Lane keeping, autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise all read the road through the glass, and a new screen shifts the camera reference point enough to affect how they respond. We are certified to recalibrate using Hella, Autel and TEXA equipment.

Many comprehensive policies include glass cover, and chip repairs are often covered with no excess. We are an insurance-approved repairer and regularly handle work for Allianz, QBE, NRMA, AAMI and Shannons. Not every policy tier includes glass, so call us with your details and we will tell you whether claiming or paying directly works out cheaper.

Both, and the choice is yours. We hold over 2,500 windscreens in stock at Strathfield South, covering genuine OEM and high-quality aftermarket options. All glass we fit meets Australian Standard AS/NZS 2080, and we bond every windscreen with OEM-approved SIKA PRO urethane.

Mostly we come to you. Our free mobile service covers all of Greater Sydney, so we can fit at your home, workplace or roadside. The exception is chip repairs, which we carry out in our Strathfield South workshop where a dust-free environment gives a far better result, along with some ADAS calibrations that require a levelled workshop floor.

Every job carries a lifetime guarantee on our workmanship. If a leak, rattle, wind noise or any other installation-related fault appears, we fix it free of charge for as long as you own the vehicle. The glass itself is separately covered by the manufacturer against defects.
