The Ranger is one of the most common windscreens on a Sydney worksite.

Utes cop stone damage more than anything else on the road, and the Ranger and Everest are the ones we see most. Gravel access roads, tipper trucks on the M4 and unsealed job sites all end the same way — a chip in the driver's eyeline by Friday.

Newer Rangers and Everests carry a forward camera behind the mirror running lane keeping, pre-collision assist and adaptive cruise. Those need recalibrating after a windscreen replacement, which we complete in-house rather than sending you to a dealer for a second appointment.

Some European-built Fords — Focus and Transit in particular — use a heated Quickclear windscreen with fine heating elements laminated through the glass. The wiring and element layout have to match exactly, so we confirm heated fitment before ordering.

Ford Co-Pilot360 relies on a camera reading the road through your windscreen. We recalibrate it as part of the replacement, using Hella, Autel and TEXA equipment, and give you the report.

What we watch for

Fitting glass to a Ford

The details that separate a replacement done properly from one you'll be back about.

Fleet and trade turnaround

Ute and van downtime costs money, so we hold common Ranger and Transit glass in stock at Strathfield South and can usually fit same or next day.

Co-Pilot360 recalibration

Lane keeping, pre-collision assist and adaptive cruise all read the road through the windscreen. We recalibrate camera-equipped Fords as part of the replacement.

Heated Quickclear screens matched

Heated windscreens are a different part with a different wiring loom. We check for them up front rather than discovering it on the driveway.
