Suzukis are among the more straightforward vehicles we work on. The screens are smaller and lighter than an SUV's, the fitment is uncomplicated, and on most models there's no camera to recalibrate — which keeps both the price and the time off the road down.
The exception is Swifts and Vitaras fitted with Dual Sensor Brake Support, which pairs a camera with a laser sensor at the top of the windscreen. Those do need recalibrating after a replacement, and we'll flag it when you give us the rego rather than after the fact.
The Jimny is its own small challenge. Short, upright and boxy, with glass that sits at an unusual angle — nothing difficult once you've done a few, but not a shape you want a first-timer learning on.
Dual Sensor Brake Support relies on a camera reading the road through your windscreen. We recalibrate it as part of the replacement, using Hella, Autel and TEXA equipment, and give you the report.
